The Zeit Bay oil field is an off shore oil field, it is situated in shallow water area in the western side of the Gulf of Suez while a part of it extended to Ras El Bahar peninsula. The field production is established many reservoir units ranging in age from Pre-Cambrian fractured basement, Paleozoic and Mesozoic sandstones of Nubia facies and Tertiary Rudeis-Kareem carbonates as well as Belayim carbonates.

The present work aims to throw more light on the subsurface setting, litho-stratigraphy, and depositional environments of the Miocene sequence in Zeit Bay oil field. Seven drilled well data in Zeit Bay oil field, including rock character; thickness variation, correlation and facies changes are used to build up the geologic history of the studied field.
