Rock porosity, permeability, acoustic wave velocity and electrical properties of 42 samples of Cretaceous sediments from Taba area were estimated. X-ray diffraction analysis for clay minerals and Scanning Electron Microscope photomicrographs are helpful in the interpretation of the petrophysical properties of rock samples. Three clay minerals were identified in these rocks; kaolinite. illite and smectite. Five types of pore spaces were illustrated in these rocks; pore lining, pore filling, intergranular, intergranular and microfracture beside three diagenetic features i.e. dolomitization, dedolomitization and quartz overgrowth. Different cross-plots were graphed to illustrate the petrophysical mutual relationships and reservoir parameters. The obtained equations with high correlation coefficients could be helpful for the reservoir evaluation of Cretaceous rocks in subsurface nearby areas.
