This article represents a compilation and interpretation of our data on the stratigraphy, petrology, chemical composition and physical properties for
hundreds of samples representing 64 stratigraphic sections of the Mezozoic - Cenozoic carbonate rocks to clarify its suitability for myriad of uses and so its economic potential to serve the plans of development of Egypt. The quarrying for several uses of these rocks at each site is recommended.
