Main Goals of the Society

1. To develop an association among the Egyptian specialists in Sedimentology, applications and economics, as well as the institutions and geologic societies in Egypt and in other countries.

2. To encourage, promote and innovate advanced studies and researches in sedimentary geology, applications and its economics by different means......

3. To strengthen co-operative advancing cognition aspects among researchers in sedimentary geology by performing studies, holding specialized seminars, meetings and congresses, together with specialized and general lectures etc., as well as workshops and training programs.

4. To ensure higher standard of research and studies in sedimentary disciplines coping with the international standard of scientific development.

5. To assist in the application-side of sedimentary researches and studies by collecting sedimentary information, publishing and distribution among concerned institutions and companies.
